About KEYS

Kewaskum Youth Scholarship organization (KEYS) was established in 1985 by community members that valued a strong scholarship program for Kewaskum High School graduates. The first scholarship of $500 was given to class of 1986 graduate Rick Staehler.  Every year, the KEYS organization strives to grow the amount of scholarships available for the graduating class.

The KEYS organization is proud that all scholarship donations go directly to the student benefit.  Administrative expenses for KEYS are covered through our annual fundraising efforts, with our largest fundraiser being the KEYS 5K Run/Walk.

In May 2025, KEYS received a Certificate of Appreciation for their ongoing support and advocacy for local youth, following a nomination by the Kewaskum School District for the WASDA Child Advocacy Award.
